Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is responsible for performing a variety of chemical, hematologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic procedures following established standards and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures
  • Collect and analyze data for diagnosis and treatment of disease
  • Provide excellent patient care and service
  • Support the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician required
  • Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician required within one year of hire date
  • Willing to consider new MLT graduates
Work Schedule
  • Evening/Night Shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday to Friday
  • Every 3rd weekend & holiday - overnight shift from 11pm to 7am
  • Full time; 80 hours every 2 weeks
Compensation

The hourly range for this position is $31.75 per hour, dependent on experience.
