Senior Principal - Health Management, Clinical Consulting

Infosys Consulting is seeking senior-level Management Consulting professionals with Healthcare Business Consulting experience in implementation of Health Management and Clinical Consulting solutions to join its growing Healthcare practice at the Senior Principal Level.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have management consulting experience, being a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of healthcare workflows, industry regulations, and the power of advanced care management platforms like Guiding Care. The successful candidate should have an ability to operate independently and as a leader of projects and consulting teams. With a demonstrated ability to deliver high quality work products to our healthcare clients.

Leads major projects and serves as a key customer-facing member of an Infosys Healthcare Consulting team. Contributes to the development of solutions to solve business problems and increase adoption of Infosys driven solutions. This position is responsible for delivering actionable value across the Healthcare system.

Responsibilities:
  1. Clinical Consulting and Strategy:
    • Provide strategic clinical consulting services to healthcare organizations, focusing on areas such as Utilization Management (UM), Case Management (CM), Disease Management (DM), and Care Management.
    • Analyze complex clinical scenarios, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop innovative solutions to enhance patient outcomes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective care management programs.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
  2. Guiding Care Implementations:
    • Lead, manage, and execute complex Guiding Care implementations for UM, CM, DM, and Care Management functionalities.
    • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs and develop a comprehensive implementation roadmap.
    • Configure and customize Guiding Care features to optimize workflows and automate processes for improved care coordination, utilization management, and population health management.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to ensure smooth and successful implementation.
    • Ensure ongoing user adoption through training, communication, and change management strategies.
  3. Health Management Expertise:
    • Possess a strong understanding of healthcare management methodologies, including population health management, disease management, and wellness programs.
    • Translate health management strategies into actionable configurations within Guiding Care.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in Health Management.
  4. Utilization Management (UM) & Care Coordination (PA) Expertise:
    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of UM and PA processes, including prior authorization, case management, and care plan development.
    • Configure Guiding Care features to automate and streamline UM and PA workflows.
    • Design and implement workflows for effective utilization review and care coordination.
  5. Leadership and Communication:
    • Lead, mentor, and coach project teams to drive successful implementations.
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams including business analysts, developers, and stakeholders.
    • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Manage client expectations and resolve issues efficiently.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare management, UM, PA, CM, DM, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience with advanced care management platforms, preferably Guiding Care.
  • 5+ years of advisory consulting experience in comparable consulting services.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Ability to travel 4 days a week to multiple local, state and national client locations.

  • Must be a Resident of an Infosys Consulting Hub Location of Los Angeles or must reside in a city that is within a 2-hour driving distance from this hub location.

Preferred Qualifications
  • An MBA with an advanced degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, business, operations, information technology, analytics, etc.
  • Strong client facing skills including presentations to senior leadership, advice and consult with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate, integrate and deliver informatics and business intelligence projects.
  • Understanding issues related to data analysis in healthcare Provider/Payer industry.
  • Strong planning, coordination, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to derive insight and infer business implications from data.
  • Familiarity with fundamental financial, performance, and quality measures used in the health care industry.
  • Familiarity with statistics and advanced methods such as AI/Machine Learning preferred.
  • Ability to provide guidance to stakeholders in understanding the business value of the initiative.
  • Ability to interface with customers and other stakeholders with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to complete project, with demonstrated commitment to meeting deliverables.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and self-manage.
