Position Overview: We seek an experienced and dynamic Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead and oversee our medical services. The CMO will be critical in shaping and driving clinical operations, quality of care, and growth strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with our leadership team, including the Executive Vice President/COO, to align clinical services with JVCHC's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic direction and leadership for clinical services, collaborating with executive management to develop and implement initiatives that improve patient care and organizational growth.
- Clinical Oversight: Supervise and provide guidance to department medical directors. Ensure clinical protocols are effectively communicated and adhered to, fostering a collaborative environment between clinical and operational teams.
- Program Development: Recommend programmatic changes, clinical staffing, and equipment needs. Lead key clinical initiatives to enhance care delivery.
- Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between clinical and operational leadership to ensure mutual understanding of clinical and operational protocols, optimizing patient care and operational efficiency.
- Recruitment: Help recruit qualified medical professionals to join our team. Develop and prioritize a recruitment plan that is aligned with organizational needs and goals.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including federal, state, and local guidelines. Oversee clinical policies, controlled substance management, and patient satisfaction efforts.
- Team-Based Care: Support integrating a team-based healthcare delivery model that includes primary care providers, JVCHC staff, patients, families, and community partners.
- Financial and Operational Meetings: Participate in meetings that influence clinical and financial operations, such as Medical Review Committees, Operational Leadership Meetings, and Executive Team Meetings.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school with a completed residency in a related Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or OBGYN
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience managing major clinical activities in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other medical facility.
- Licensure: Must possess a current Missouri state medical license and DEA number and be eligible to participate in federal, state, and private insurance plans. Current BLS or ACLS certification is required.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams in a healthcare setting.
