Aircraft Performance Group (APG, RocketRoute, Seattle Avionics) is seeking an accomplished, self-driven, highly motivated and ‘Do-it-Different’ Product Manager for our global aircraft performance products and services. We are looking for a versatile solution-driven and vision-oriented professional who can define differentiated products which enables the organization to continue to be a market leader in this space. You will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating aircraft performance products across the three company platforms with a focus on return on investment, a defined production and product release plan aligned with business strategy. You will identify, quantify, support and execute opportunities to accelerate growth and increase efficiencies by working with senior leaders and collaborating with cross-functional teams.



Key Responsibilities:



Product Development:

  • Translate product vision into detailed requirements and prototypes.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business and customer impact.


Project Management:

  • Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Track and report on product performance metrics and make data-driven decisions.


Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate product status, key decisions, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present product updates to senior management.


Customer Focus:

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements.
  • Work with customer support and sales teams to understand customer needs and pain points.
  • Ensure that the product meets or exceeds customer expectations.


  • Marketing and Sales Support:

Collaborate with marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and product positioning.

  • Assist in the creation of product marketing materials and sales tools.
  • Provide training and support to sales teams on new product features and benefits.



Qualifications:



Desired Characteristics


  • Completion of College or University undergraduate degree: Engineering, Aviation Management, Business Management, or related discipline; MBA is not required but considered an asset
  • Advanced planning skills to lead prioritization and planning of multiple product backlogs
  • Experience working with the assigned product at any of the following:

-Airframe manufacturer

-Aviation hardware provider

-Aviation software provider

-Government aviation authorities

-Aviation industry association

  • Extensive experience in the aviation industry is required, including in-depth knowledge of aviation software products and services
  • Familiarity with aircraft performance, runway analysis, weight and balance, and single engine procedures (EOP/EOSID) highly preferred.
  • FAA Pilots License or FAA Aircraft Dispatcher License or equivalent preferred
  • Experience developing software solutions from idea phase to Go-To-Market is required
  • In-depth understanding of overall product usage, functionality, and components (hardware, software, communications, etc.)
  • Global B2B product marketing experience desired
  • Superior communication skills
  • Ability to influence and communicate at multiple levels both internally and externally
  • Professional and collaborative approach to interacting with colleagues and customers; superior interpersonal and decision-making skills to resolve critical or contentious issues.
  • Strong team orientation to provide necessary leadership in the multiple interactive environments the position demands
  • Understanding of the Agile software development process
  • Results-oriented, innovative, and a strong problem solver
  • Flexibility on work location, including the ability to work remote with the ability to travel both domestically and internationally when required
