San Francisco, United States Nexus Full time
About Nexus:

Nexus is a $25M Series A startup at the forefront of verifiable computation, powered by zero-knowledge proofs. We are dedicated to building a new verifiable Internet where truth, privacy, and security are upheld through advanced computational methods. With our open-sourced Nexus zkVM, we enable developers to compute proofs for any program, using any programming language. Our mission is to scale this technology globally, creating the Nexus Network, the world’s most powerful computing system designed to process trillions of proofs per second.

Role Overview:

Nexus is expanding, and we’re seeking multiple Technical Sourcers to partner with our Talent Acquisition team. This role will focus on identifying and engaging top-tier technical talent for specialized positions, particularly across R&D, Engineering, and other technical domains essential to Nexus’s mission in verifiable computation. As a Technical Sourcer at Nexus, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of our technical teams, maintaining high talent density, and ensuring a diverse and skilled pipeline. While initially contract-to-hire, these roles have the potential for conversion to full-time for exceptional contributors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Talent Sourcing: Utilize innovative and technical-focused sourcing techniques to identify, connect with, and attract specialized technical talent. Target platforms like GitHub, Stack Overflow, LinkedIn, and niche technical communities to reach developers, cryptographers, and engineers experienced in complex technical domains like zero-knowledge proofs.

  • Pipeline Building for Technical Roles: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of candidates for high-demand technical positions, such as backend, frontend, full-stack engineering, cryptography, and data science. Ensure alignment with hiring managers' strategic goals for Nexus’s technical growth.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Talent Acquisition Partners and technical hiring managers to align sourcing strategies with Nexus’s R&D and technical needs. Gain insights into each role’s technical requirements to tailor sourcing efforts effectively.

  • Engagement and Brand Representation: Foster genuine connections with passive and active technical candidates, serving as a brand ambassador to communicate Nexus’s mission and values. Highlight Nexus’s groundbreaking work in zero-knowledge proofs and verifiable computation to attract top-tier talent.

  • Candidate Assessment: Conduct initial screens to assess candidate qualifications, technical expertise, motivation, and alignment with Nexus’s high-performance culture.

  • Data and Reporting on Technical Sourcing: Track technical sourcing metrics to identify effective channels and refine techniques. Share insights with the Talent team to enhance overall sourcing strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Technical Sourcing Experience: 2+ years of sourcing experience in high-growth environments, with a specific focus on technical talent in fields like backend and frontend engineering, cryptography, and blockchain. Experience in open-source sourcing is a strong plus.

  • Proficiency in Sourcing Platforms for Technical Roles: Demonstrated success sourcing hard-to-find technical talent across platforms like GitHub, Stack Overflow, LinkedIn, and specialized online communities.

  • Technical Understanding and Interest: Familiarity with technical domains relevant to Nexus’s mission, such as cryptography, zero-knowledge proofs, or verifiable computation, is preferred.

  • Analytical and Adaptable: An analytical mindset, able to track and interpret sourcing data to influence and refine sourcing strategies for technical roles.

  • Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: Skilled at forming relationships with technical candidates and adept at presenting Nexus’s vision to a wide range of individuals in the tech industry.

  • Growth-Oriented in High-Performance Settings: Adaptable and proactive with a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic, high-talent-density environment.

Why Join Nexus?
  • Groundbreaking Impact: Help build the future of verifiable computation and empower developers worldwide.

  • Career Potential: Be a core part of growing Nexus’s technical teams, with possible FTE conversion for standout performers.

  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside talented engineers, designers, and product leaders in a flat, high-trust organization.
