Responsibilities:

  1. Provide general support to the company's legal department
  2. Assist with researching, drafting, and managing corporate policies
  3. Ensure company compliance with legal policies, state and federal laws, and regulations
  4. Draft and review contracts
  5. Gather, organize, and store information relevant to ongoing projects
  6. Work with industry-leading outside counsel
  7. Identify potential legal risks to the company
  8. Maintain the company's legal files including a library of pre-approved form documents, templates, and historical documents; add or revise material as needed
  9. Provide support for litigation and regulatory-related matters
  10. Learn something new every day, become conversant in dozens of highly technical topics, develop proficiencies
  11. Perform other related duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of a J.D. Law Degree; minimum of 1 - 2 years of legal experience a plus
  2. Licensed (or about to become licensed in 2024) to practice law in the United States
  3. Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic, and ability to work independently
  4. Ability to identify underlying issues in complex situations
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Ability to juggle multiple priorities, organize time, meet deadlines, and deal with highly confidential information
  7. Ability to make decisions and justify legal recommendations
  8. Customer service oriented and a positive attitude
  9. Willingness to 'roll up your sleeves' and learn every day
  10. Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite

The total compensation package for this position will also include incentive compensation and benefits such as health insurance, unlimited paid time off, parental leave, a 401k matching program, and other benefits to its employees.
