Ball Janik LLP is dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation to clients relating construction defect and insurance recovery litigation. With a focus on advocating for property owners and homeowners' associations, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to lead our marketing efforts and drive growth in our practice with commercial properties. The position will be responsible for attracting clients and building market brand awareness by fostering and maintaining relationships with potential clients and referral sources.


Job Description: As the Commercial Property Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives to enhance the visibility, reputation, and client base of our law firm within the commercial sector. You will collaborate closely with the firm's partners and attorneys to align marketing strategies with business objectives and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to support the firm's commercial practice, including market analysis, competitor research, and target audience identification.
  • Brand Management: Oversee the firm's brand positioning and ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels, materials, and communications.
  • Client Development: Identify opportunities to expand the firm's client base within the commercial sector, nurture existing client relationships, and enhance client satisfaction through targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Digital Marketing: Drive digital marketing efforts, including content marketing, social media engagement, email campaigns, and online advertising to increase visibility and generate leads.
  • Public Relations: Cultivate relationships with key media outlets, industry influencers, and stakeholders to enhance the firm's reputation and secure media coverage opportunities.
  • Event Management: Plan and execute events, seminars, webinars, and conferences to showcase the firm's expertise, attract potential clients, and foster networking opportunities within the commercial community.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, allocate resources effectively, and measure the return on investment (ROI) of marketing initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to drive high performance and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within the commercial real estate or professional services industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies that drive business growth.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
