Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bankruptcy proceedings, along with knowledge of real estate and corporate law, to support our attorneys in managing complex cases and transactions.


Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in all aspects of commercial banking, enforcement and workouts, insolvency and commercial bankruptcy, primarily with respect to corporate reorganizations under chapter 11 and liquidations under chapter 7.
  • Draft and file bankruptcy petitions, motions, and related documents with courts.
  • Communicate with clients, creditors, and court personnel to ensure timely processing of cases.
  • Manage real estate-related matters, including property liens, foreclosures, and deed transfers.
  • Prepare and review real estate related contracts, deeds, and title documents.
  • Conduct research related to bankruptcy law, real estate transactions, and title issues.
  • Prepare case files, maintain case documents, and track deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and assist in trial preparation as needed.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal in one or more of the practice areas listed above.
  • Proficient in using Best Case software as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Paralegal certification preferred but not required.
