The Role

We're looking for a skilled Python Developer with expertise in Blender and its APIs to join our Sunnyvale team. You'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our automated 3D rendering pipeline, working at the intersection of computer graphics, automation, and AI.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a Blender plugin to add, manage and render live action video
  • Define and develop a pipeline for embedding live video inside 3D environments
  • Work with the AI team to define how live video is preprocessed for embedding inside Blender
  • Create robust pipelines for processing and optimizing 3D environments
  • Optimize rendering and processing workflows for virtual production
  • Document technical processes and maintain coding standards


Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Python development experience
  • Strong background in Blender Python API (bpy) and automation
  • Experience with 3D graphics pipelines and asset optimization
  • Strong understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering concepts
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git)


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with virtual production workflows
  • Knowledge of computer vision and AI/ML concepts
  • Familiarity with game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity)
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Background in developing scalable automation systems
  • Experience with real-time rendering optimization
  • Contributions to Blender add-ons or open-source projects
