Job Summary:

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our Emergency Department team. As a Paramedic in this role, you will provide advanced patient care within the State-approved scope of practice in the emergency department setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive emergency medical telephone calls and provide emergency care to injured or ill patients.
  • Perform various medical procedures, including but not limited to, administering medications, performing ECGs, and providing oxygen therapy.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring timely and effective communication with other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse-NM or State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
  • BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
  • ACLS certification in Emergency Department, Critical Care, Cardiovascular Lab, GI Lab, Interventional Radiology, Progressive Care, Surgical Services.
  • NRP certification in Family Birthing Center, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Mother/Baby Care.
  • PALS certification in Children Services, Cardiovascular Lab, Emergency Department, GI Lab, Interventional Radiology, Surgical Services.
  • Minimum Associate Degree from an accredited academic nursing program.
