Our client is a leading digital platform transforming news consumption, backed by prominent investors. They are seeking a Head of FP&A with a blend of investment banking and client-side strategic finance experience, particularly in IPO or pre-IPO environments, to drive value creation through strategic financial planning and hands-on leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Lead client-focused financial initiatives and craft investment narratives through in-depth financial presentations and market analyses.
- Design and maintain sophisticated financial models that incorporate deal dynamics, market trends, and key client success metrics.
- Drive strategic decision-making through scenario analysis, valuation modeling, and development of investment theses.
- Implement rigorous financial forecasting and tracking systems to enhance client performance metrics and optimize investor returns.
- Manage due diligence processes and foster relationships with investors, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Structure and execute strategic transactions, while maintaining high-touch client relationships and optimizing deal outcomes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to maximize client economics and develop platform monetization strategies.
- Lead capital markets activities, including fundraising initiatives, and support the IPO process.
- Oversee the monthly financial close process with a focus on client performance indicators and financial reporting accuracy.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams while fostering a client-centric culture and promoting financial best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field from a top-tier institution; an MBA is preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in investment banking, with a strong background in client-side strategic finance, IPO, or pre-IPO environments.
- Proven track record in structuring complex financial solutions and driving client success through data-driven financial frameworks.
- Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and creating compelling client presentations that drive strategic outcomes.
- Strong relationship-building skills with C-level executives, investors, and cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in financial databases, SQL, and data visualization tools to enhance insights and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership presence and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, maintaining a focus on client satisfaction and results.
- Experience with enterprise financial systems and CRM platforms.
- Deep understanding of the digital media and technology sectors, with proven experience in deal execution and capital markets activities.
