About the Role
Chime is looking for an IT Program Manager to manage multiple projects across IT Support, IT Engineering, IT Business Systems, and cross-functional partners such as Security, Workplace Services, People Team, and Engineering.
A key aspect will be to align with multiple departments (e.g., People Ops, Security, Workplace) to determine project requirements. You will create project charters and timelines, manage resources, and drive projects to completion. You have strong organizational planning skills, exceptional communication skills, relationship management skills, and an understanding of cloud technology and business systems. You are curious, self-driven, and a rock star program manager.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Lead cross-functional teams from project initiation through closure, regularly reporting on project strategy and progress to stakeholders.
- Manage dependencies and help the teams prioritize between unplanned tasks/operational work and long-term planned project work, keeping the teams focused on what is important.
- Identify risks/blockers, working with stakeholders to mitigate obstacles.
- Measure project performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to optimize IT team processes and document workflows.
- Coordinate across IT, Workplace Services, Security, and external vendors on Office Buildout projects.
- Travel to office locations to oversee and support build-out efforts on an as-needed basis.
- Manage the onboarding of IT vendors, overseeing vendor contracts and renewals, and ensuring seamless collaboration with legal teams and business owners.
- Work on new projects that may be ambiguous at times but you are ready to take on the challenge and be flexible as needed while driving the teams forward.
To thrive in this role you have:
- 3+ years of experience in IT Program Management with a proven record delivering small to large scale projects across cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, communicating clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills, bringing different backgrounds across cross-functional groups to work in harmony, building consensus among competing perspectives and rallying teams positively towards objectives.
- A growth mindset; you are a self-motivated learner and a reliable team player who keeps the big picture in mind to achieve the program goals.
- Experience with Agile development and scrum project management.
- Experience using project management tools, JIRA, and collaboration tools.
- Experience at companies at different stages from late-stage startup to established corporations.
What we offer:
- A thoughtful hybrid work policy that combines in-office days and trips to team and company-wide events depending on location to ensure you stay connected to your work and teammates, whether you’re local to one of our offices or remote.
- Hybrid work perks, like UrbanSitter and Kinside for backup child, elder, and/or pet care, as well as a subsidized commuter benefit.
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- 401k match plus great medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
- Generous vacation policy and company-wide Take Care of Yourself Days.
- Mental health support with therapy and coaching through Modern Health.
- 16 weeks of paid parental leave for all parents and an additional 6-8 weeks for birthing parents.
- Access to Maven, a family planning tool, with up to $10k in reimbursement for egg freezing, fertility treatments, adoption, and more.
- In-person and virtual events to connect with your fellow Chimers.
- A challenging and fulfilling opportunity to join one of the most experienced teams in FinTech and help millions unlock financial progress.
We know that great work can’t be done without a diverse team and inclusive environment. That’s why we specifically look for individuals of varying strengths, skills, backgrounds, and ideas to join our team. We believe this gives us a competitive advantage to better serve our members and helps us all grow as Chimers and individuals.
We hire candidates of any race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, marital or family status, disability, Veteran status, and any other status. Chime is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Cook County Ordinance, and consistent with Canadian provincial and federal laws. If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please let us know.
