Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Learning and Development Supervisor/Manager who excels in project management, organizational skills, and communication. The ideal candidate is a team player with a keen interest in e-learning technology and tools, ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a strong client service orientation. This role involves overseeing all aspects of learning and development within the firm while collaborating with various teams to drive continuous improvement projects tailored to the firm’s needs. 

Responsibilities

Training Management and Oversight: 

  • Oversee all training activities within the firm, including annual departmental training, new hire onboarding, and training budgets. 
  • Develop and implement annual learning and development calendar and budget. 
  • Manage program logistics and scheduling for both internal and outsourced trainers using technology platforms such as Teams and Zoom. 

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration: 

  • Serve as the LMS system administrator and subject matter expert, managing all associated records, upgrades, and enhancements. 
  • Enter and track employee training enrollments, checklists, and material distributions. 
  • Approve and issue CPE credit for attendees and maintain accurate training records. 

Content Development and E-Learning: 

  • Create and maintain learning materials including procedure guides, video content, and eLearning modules. 
  • Develop an online library of course offerings, convert internal recordings using Rise software, and purchase external programs. 
  • Design and prepare educational aids and materials to support training initiatives. 

 Training Needs Assessment and Consulting:

  • Conduct needs assessments and audits of current training offerings. 
  • Research and select appropriate training solutions. 
  • Provide recommendations and consult with department training groups to enhance training effectiveness. 
  • Consult on the development of training materials related to technical and success skills. 

Liaison and Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the firm and external training providers, including AAFCPAs, Spiirall, and others. 
  • Assist the Career Development & Engagement department with projects such as consulting on Talent Advising Plans. 

Continuous Improvement and Marketing: 

  • Lead continuous improvement projects within Talent Management or consult with other teams as needed. 
  • Contribute to marketing and communication of program offerings to ensure effective promotion and engagement. 
  • Coordinate and prepare training locations, both remote and on-site, and monitor program launches to ensure effective delivery.

  • Proven experience in learning and development, with a strong grasp of e-learning technologies.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with an ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and content development tools like Rise or similar.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for continuous improvement.
