The Community Care Crew program provides paid work, case management, career counseling, and a structured path to transitional housing.


Note: Minimum of 1 year experience working with the unsheltered population is required for this position.*


Position Overview:

We are looking for a Community Care Crew (CCC) Coordinator to lead and work alongside our Community Care Crew, which provides essential services like street cleaning, light landscaping, and custodial work. This role is less about hands-on technical skills in these areas and more about leadership. We seek someone who can inspire and guide the Crew, fostering a positive, encouraging environment that helps members succeed in their responsibilities. This role also involves collaborating closely with our Case Manager and another Crew Coordinator to support members' personal and professional growth.


Job Duties:

  • Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments
  • Set priorities and direct Community Care Crew Members
  • Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
  • Identify staff development and training needs and ensure that training is obtained
  • Ensures proper relations and conditions of employment are maintained between CCC Members, staff, volunteers, clients and community members
  • Maintains records and correspondence relative to the work
  • Requisitions and purchases materials and equipment needed by the CCC
  • Implement quality assurance methods to ensure job assignments are being met with CCC standards


Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to supervise a crew of workers in ground and facility maintenance activities
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment and tools
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate program and organizational performance in order to assess efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain favorable community relations
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in all weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Candidates with formerly lived experience of homelessness definitely considered


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Studies in Psychology, Social Work, or Human Services are a plus.


Hours: 20-25 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday; 6:30 am – 12 pm)
