Marketing at Brex
The Marketing team tells the Brex story, determines messaging and positioning, and translates our products and features into tangible customer benefits. Our marketers — across Revenue Marketing, Product Marketing, and Brand Marketing — are responsible for acquiring new customers and have a deep understanding of the business. We’re a highly cross-functional team and partner most closely with the Product, Sales, Business Development, and Design teams to show our prospects and customers how we can help them reach their full potential.
What You’ll Do
As Head of Product Marketing, you will define and drive the product marketing strategy at Brex, leading the charge in positioning our financial products to win in an evolving, competitive market. This role oversees the Product Marketing function, uniting cross-functional teams to deliver market-leading growth while ensuring Brex’s offerings are aligned with customer needs and business goals.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will partner closely with product, sales, customer success, and marketing teams to shape the product vision, launch new products, define campaign messaging, drive adoption, and solidify Brex’s reputation as a leader in financial services and software.
Where you'll work
This role will be based in our San Francisco office. You must be willing to work in office at least 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year, for a minimum of one week at a time.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing Product Marketing team, fostering collaboration, excellence, and innovation
- Define and own Brex’s product marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and evolving market opportunities
- Partner with the executive team and product management to influence product vision, prioritize roadmaps, and shape the strategic direction of Brex’s portfolio
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies by business segment for product launches and seasonal releases, driving seamless collaboration across product, sales, marketing, and customer success teams
- Craft compelling narratives, value propositions, and messaging frameworks that differentiate Brex’s offerings and resonate with key customer segments
- Monitor launch performance and continuously refine strategies to maximize adoption, retention, and ROI
- Conduct in-depth customer and market research to identify needs, opportunities, and competitive threats, applying insights to inform product positioning and strategy
- Champion product-led growth initiatives to expand adoption and increase customer lifetime value
- Equip sales and customer success teams with tools and resources to succeed, including product decks, demo videos, demo environments, battle cards, and training materials
- Position Brex as a thought leader in financial services and software through speaking engagements, analyst relations, content contributions, and industry partnerships
- 12+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably at a high-growth SaaS or fintech company
- Proven ability to build and scale product marketing teams, including talent development and operational framework creation
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with a track record of crafting narratives that drive measurable business outcomes
- Expertise in developing and executing GTM strategies for complex products
- Strong cross-functional collaboration experience, working closely with product, sales, customer success, and marketing teams
- Data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze performance metrics and adapt strategies to achieve goals
- Experience managing significant marketing budgets and influencing C-level stakeholders
