Job Title: Logistics and Material Coordinator

Location: The Woodlands, TX

Job Summary:

The Logistics and Material Coordinator will oversee and manage all aspects of materials and logistics operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of materials, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and supporting customers needs through careful coordination with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain operations, transportation logistics, and inventory management.


Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Coordination

- Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.

- Coordinate with freight forwarders, transportation providers, and pipe yard personnel to streamline shipping and receiving processes.

- Prepare and verify shipping documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

- Track shipments and resolve any issues or delays promptly, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.


Inventory & Material Management

- Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy.

- Coordinate with the Sales and Inside Sales teams to plan material requirements based on customer schedules and forecasted demands.


Supplier & Vendor Coordination

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.

- Schedule and coordinate material deliveries, ensuring materials are available per customer project timelines.

- Work with Inside Sales and Suppliers to address any material discrepancies or quality issues.


Documentation & Reporting:

- Prepare and maintain documentation for all shipments, inventory transactions, and supplier communications.

- Generate regular reports on logistics operations, inventory levels, and cost analyses.

- Ensure accurate data entry into the company’s inventory management system and work closely with finance for budget monitoring.


Health, Safety, and Compliance:

- Ensure all logistics activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

- Participate in safety audits and contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to logistics and material handling processes.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field; relevant work experience may substitute.

- 3+ years of experience in logistics, material coordination, or supply chain management, preferably in the oil & gas or OCTG industry.

- Strong knowledge of logistics processes, inventory management, and transportation coordination.

- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software (e.g., Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
