Role Overview:

We seek an experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney to join our team and oversee the management of our client relationships. This role will involve estate planning, trust formation, will drafting, and other related services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in trusts and estates law and experience in maintaining and growing a client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, providing expert legal advice and personalized service.
  • Estate Planning: Draft and review wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
  • Trust Formation: Advise on and handle the formation and administration of trusts.
  • Compliance: Ensure all legal documents and processes comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our real estate team to address any intersection between real estate and estate planning.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities to expand our trusts and estates practice and contribute to firm growth.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in New York. Connecticut and New Jersey is a bonus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in trusts and estates law.
  • Proven ability to manage a client base and handle complex legal matters.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in drafting legal documents.
