Summary

Overseeing the day to day operations and financial performance of the Laboratory as well as leading and modelling company culture. This includes customer satisfaction, retention and sales growth, appropriate staffing, quality and financial performance.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for top line revenue and positioning operations to compete and secure new revenue opportunities, while maintaining client satisfaction and retention.
  • Deliver and sustain a great service standard.
  • Monitor profit and loss (P&L) performance, budget, along with cost and expense management.
  • Promote and cultivate a positive, professional environment for all employees by representing the core values of the company.
  • Maintain high standards of satisfaction in turnaround time (TAT), report deliverables, quality data, and consultative technical services.
  • Ensure quality standards remain strong and effective to meet regulatory audits/regulations to keep location in compliance and accredited.
  • Review production and operating reports and direct the resolution of operational, quality, and maintenance problems to achieve financial budget goals and operational performance objectives.
  • Ensure all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met to meet annual operating budget performance expectations.
  • Direct oversight, management, and execution of new method research and development, instrumentation and operational improvements.
  • Consistently identify and develop process improvement opportunities and plans for their achievement.
  • Coordinate laboratory technical activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, instrumentation and equipment.
  • Set and adjust laboratory staff responsibilities, as needed, to accomplish business objectives.
  • Train and ensure all assigned employees understand and comply with company, government, and client policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Support, coach, and lead teams directly and indirectly, as necessary.
  • Complete all other assignments, duties, and tasks as assigned.
