Position Overview

The Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for executing a range of moderate to highly complex diagnostic procedures using advanced instrumentation to ensure precise laboratory test outcomes that aid in the diagnosis and management of medical conditions. This role involves the analysis and documentation of various microscopic, bacteriological, immunohematological, and chemical diagnostic tests, as well as conducting specialized assessments. The Medical Technologist is expected to fulfill the responsibilities of both a Medical Laboratory Technician and a Laboratory Technologist, in addition to the standard expectations of a Medical Technologist. All tasks are performed under the guidance of a Senior Technologist, Laboratory Supervisor/General Specialist, or Laboratory Site Director.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited MT program. Certification from MT (ASCP)/NCA or an equivalent body is required.
  • Certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
