Plaskolite is looking for a seasoned talent acquisition specialist to lead the Recruiting function at our Corporate Office in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Your primary responsibility will be to recruit and attract the highest quality applicants to join the Plaskolite team. The incumbent will act as a liaison between hiring managers and candidates and will work with applicants through all stages of the hiring and onboarding process. Additional HR Generalist responsibilities, as noted below, will be a part of this role.

This position requires a wide range of abilities including strong communication and organizational skills, flexibility, and a high attention to detail. A high standard of professionalism is also required since you will be interacting not only with external candidates, but also with Plaskolite Management, including the Executive Leadership Team.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

RECRUITING (70%):

  • Create recruiting strategy for internal clients, including needs analysis
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers related to the recruiting process
  • Source, interview, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers and solicit feedback on candidates to refine recruiting strategy as applicable
  • Build relationships with external partners (high schools, colleges/universities, trade schools, professional organizations) to drive applicant flow and brand awareness
  • Proactively share innovative talent solutions that add value, anticipate needs, and streamline processes for the client
  • Apply business acumen to recruiting needs by participating in business unit meetings, staying aware of changes within the business, acting as a subject matter expert for areas of recruiting responsibility, and managing hiring manager/candidate expectations
  • Provide candidates with frequent & timely communication throughout the recruitment process, share manager feedback, and appropriately disposition all candidates
  • Educate candidates on the career growth potential, benefits, compensation philosophy, and many advantages of working for Plaskolite, selling both the company and the opportunity
  • Provide meaningful market data in support of client needs
  • Oversee, update, and enhance the Plaskolite Careers page on the corporate website
  • Establish a rapport and partner with the appropriate stakeholders for candidate development and offers

HR GENERALIST (30%):

  • Develop and maintain job descriptions
  • Create and maintain digital employment files
  • Provide HR support for our worksite locations, including monitoring changes and new developments in state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Oversee the HRIS system functions; including onboarding, terminations, promotions, transfers, pay adjustments and reporting
  • Make edits to the employee handbook
  • Assist with benefits, compensation, and engagement surveys
  • Assist with the annual performance review process
  • Assist with the development of employee training and recognition programs
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or related field
  • 3-5 years' experience with full project life cycle recruiting in a fast-paced corporate environment or agency recruiting firm, preferably with experience in manufacturing
  • Previous payroll experience a plus
  • Recruiting related certifications (AIRS, LinkedIn, etc. preferred)
  • Prior experience working using applicant tracking system; UKG experience a plus
  • Superior multitasking, project management and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility and respect with a broad range of candidates and stakeholders within the business
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a dynamic, ever-changing environment with multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to generate candidates, network, and build relationships
  • High level of comfort with direct candidate sourcing and the ability to sell currently employed, potential candidates on opportunities within Plaskolite
  • Experience with candidate compensation negotiations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
