Job Title: Investment Banking Associate - Industrials

Position Overview: Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Investment Banking Associate to join the Industrials team in Chicago. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong analytical background and a passion for the industrial sector. As an Associate, you will play a key role in executing transactions, conducting financial analyses, financial modelling and supporting senior team members in delivering exceptional service to our clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), debt, and equity financing transactions in the industrials sector.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, including valuation, financial modeling, and market assessments.
  • Prepare presentation materials and client pitch books that effectively communicate strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with senior bankers and cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate new business opportunities.
  • Conduct industry research to identify trends, benchmarks, and competitive landscapes.
  • Maintain and build relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
  • Mentor and train analysts, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • 1-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance, with a focus on the Industrials sector preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of valuation methodologies and corporate finance principles.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial database tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • A proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow within the investment banking field.
