Job Overview

Position Schedule: Full-Time

Team Overview:
The WM Wholesaling - Investment Advisory (IA) team provides training support to our branch teams on the firm's Investment Advisory programs and Bridge Builder mutual funds. This team develops the IA training strategy and delivers through ongoing training, coaching, consultation, and acumen-building to Branch Teams and home office support areas. In this role, you will have a large amount of contact with branch teams and it will require the ability to deliver the right training at the right level at the right time. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. Travel will be required.

What You Will Do:
In this position you will be required to develop a strong technical knowledge of the firm's programs and a strong understanding of the industry and competitive landscape. A natural sense of curiosity and creative approach to problem solving is a requirement for this position. You will:
  • Lead the strategy, development and delivery of face-to-face, virtual, online and other modes of training to branch teams and home office associates on Investment Advisory topics within the context of Goals-based Advice
  • Lead the implementation of standards for IA training and performance support across the geographic division of your coverage responsibility
  • Establish relationships with Financial Advisors and serve as an Investment Advisory expert to gain branch team confidence and enable them to deliver on our client value promise. As needed, engage directly with clients as the specialized subject matter expert alongside Financial Advisors.
  • Maintain deep subject matter expert expertise in Investment Advisory, some financial planning topics, branch and client interactions and Edward Jones business model, philosophies, best practices and values.
  • Serve as an informal leader to develop other team members to serve as key contributors on enhancements and improvements to systems and branch workflow tools. Provide performance feedback and mentoring to help others grow.
  • Implement and ensure the effectiveness of the Wealth Management Enablement contribution to FA and BOA training programs in alignment with firm advice and guidance and in the context of a sound learning strategy.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Minimum: $96471
Hiring Maximum: $164262

Skills/Requirements

What Experience You Need:
  • Bachelor's degree required - advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of industry experience
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses required or acquired within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to travel (approximately 15-30% of the time)
  • Begin pursuing CFP®, ChFC®, or CFA® within or another investment industry designation within 12 months of joining team
  • Strong knowledge in investment fundamentals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential including the ability to interact with General Partners and other leaders of the firm
  • Ability to deliver presentations for large groups
  • Ability to coach FAs and Branch Teams on complex topics
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Edward Jones business model, philosophies and values.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel

*Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday
