We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join a leading law firm renowned for its legal expertise and client service. The HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and enhancing the employee experience across the firm. The ideal candidate will have experience in the legal industry or similar professional services environments and possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.


Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and issues.
  • Advise and support managers and staff on employee relations matters, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Assist with conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Support the implementation of employee engagement initiatives and programs.


Compensation & Benefits Administration:

  • Assist in administering the firm’s compensation and benefits programs, including employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, and leave policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records related to compensation and benefits.
  • Support annual benefits open enrollment and employee education efforts.


Compliance & Policy Management:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Update and maintain the firm’s employee handbook and HR policies.
  • Assist with audits, HR reporting, and compliance-related tasks.


HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate employee files and HR records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Track and manage employee attendance, vacation, sick leave, and other benefits-related records.
  • Generate HR reports and assist with ad hoc HR projects as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.


Compensation:

$80k - $120k annually depending on relevant experience.
