Porch.com, Inc. is seeking a Head of International Programs (Engineering) for its Seattle, WA office.

Job Duties: The Head of International Programs (Engineering) will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our company's international programs. This includes developing and managing our global strategy for international recruitment, onboarding, and support of the start-up requirements for our international branches. The position will focus on our new company branches (international) for hiring tech talent to expand our engineering platform. The Head of International Programs (Engineering) will have a proven track record of building and scaling international talent operations. The essential job duties of the Head of International Programs (Engineering) position are as follows:

  1. Maintain knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; apply this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency.
  2. Thorough understanding of the company's technical requirements and platform, utilizing this knowledge to shape the global engineering team.
  3. Participate with internal stakeholders to shape the technical direction of the company.
  4. Conduct quality control of engineering projects, including code review, quality assurance, testing, production, and research and development of new and existing product lines.
  5. Facilitate communication among engineers, ensuring specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.
  6. Determine, develop and implement the company's international technical needs: build strategies related to international engineering role needs and team structure(s).
  7. Build new squads, which include Product Managers for running teams.
  8. Recruit and manage teams, including, but not limited to, Engineering and Analytics.
  9. Lead the development and management of our international recruitment and onboarding programs: partner with Human Resource teams to kick start and lead recruitment and onboarding of engineering and other technical resources.
  10. Negotiate and approve contracts with global partners.
  11. Understand the company's international needs as well as the cultural, political and operational challenges of foreign markets and available opportunities: determine the company's international tech hiring strategy, keeping abreast of cultural, political and operational challenges internationally.

This position requires extensive international travel, occupying more than 80% of the employee's work time. Telecommuting available anywhere in the United States.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of experience as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Consultant, or related. Must possess 3 years in each of the following: technical leadership experience; delivering features to production; and reviewing code. Must possess 1 year of experience in each of the following: leading engineering teams to create scalable product offerings and to support systems and integration between affiliate and/or subsidiary companies; building tools to support internal teams while collaborating with Product, Operations and HR stakeholders; leading the implementation of CRM and other operations tools; performing gap analysis of requirements, developing overall solution designs and recommendations; collaborating with operations to simplify and automate processes; conducting design review meetings; leading technical design and architecture; engineering vendor management; Jira; GitLab; and Confluence. This position requires extensive domestic and international travel, occupying more than 80% of the employee's work time. Telecommuting available anywhere in the United States.
