Role Overview
In this key role, you will oversee the organization’s financial health, managing the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and finance systems. You will collaborate closely with senior finance and business leaders to guide strategic financial decisions and ensure comprehensive financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Financial Management: Oversee a global team responsible for managing the company’s income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  2. FP&A Processes: Manage crucial financial planning and analysis processes, including long-term planning, annual budgeting, and monthly reporting and forecasting.
  3. Executive Support: Assist the CEO and CFO in preparing business reviews that identify key risks and opportunities, proposing actionable strategies for growth and profitability.
  4. Report Development: Work with finance leaders to create and maintain a standardized catalogue of financial reports and key operational metrics that drive action and improve financial outcomes.
  5. Function Support: Manage budgeting and tracking for Legal, HR, IT, finance, and other administrative functions.
  6. Digital Transformation: Lead initiatives to digitalize analytics and reporting capabilities while implementing projects to simplify financial reporting systems.
  7. Separation Projects: Provide support for projects related to the separation of key financial systems.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  2. Experience: 10+ years of relevant finance experience with a demonstrable record of success.
  3. Location: Must be able to commute to Shelton, CT or Woburn, MA facility.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Technical Skills: Familiarity with SAP, Hyperion (HFM/Essbase), and Business Objects.
  2. Leadership: Proven experience in leading a global team.
  3. Financial Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial systems, with the ability to connect operational processes to financial accounting and system requirements.
  4. Collaboration: Team player with a strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity.
  5. Problem-Solving: Capable of navigating ambiguity, taking initiative, and effectively managing conflicts, particularly during change.
  6. Strategic Thinking: A strategic mindset focused on action and transparency, contemplating potential outcomes from various perspectives.
  7. Project Management: Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex activities in a time-sensitive environment.
  8. Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications, with strong proficiency in financial systems.
