We are seeking highly motivated and driven Sales Representatives to join our team on a commission-only basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong sales skills to earn based on performance by providing roofing and solar solutions to clients.
Position Summary
As the frontline representative for our company, the Commercial Roofing Sales Agent plays a vital role in delivering value and solutions to our customers while contributing to the company's sales goals and objectives. This W2 position requires a blend of personal ownership, self-motivation, accountability, and teamwork. Success will be measured by meeting established sales goals, providing accurate estimates, and supporting the overall objectives of the company. The role involves handling and climbing ladders, so a comfort with heights is essential. Some overnight travel may be necessary, with localized and regional travel required weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Management: Respond promptly to new leads and customer estimate requests generated by the company.
- Sales Ownership: Measure, estimate, and sell all assigned sales opportunities while understanding customer needs and proposing appropriate solutions based on our product offerings.
- Documentation & Estimation: Ensure accurate measurement and documentation of technical roof data, adhering to company inspection standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Commercial Sales Manager to plan and manage the workload of estimates and sales opportunities.
- CRM Management: Keep all notes and required information updated in the company’s CRM system (Acculynx).
- Feedback & Communication: Provide insights to the management team regarding sales and marketing challenges encountered during the selling process.
- Sales Documentation: Process all necessary documentation upon the sale of a job and ensure timely collection of outstanding billings upon project completion.
- Customer Liaison: Act as a liaison between the customer and the production department, ensuring excellent customer service throughout the entire process.
- Job Review: Review completed job cost information and provide feedback on job results.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain and improve selling and negotiation skills, taking ownership of any customer issues that arise before, during, or after the sale.
- Roof Knowledge: Develop a working knowledge of commercial roof systems to better serve customers.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Manage your individual sales pipeline and follow up appropriately on pending opportunities.
- Opportunity Generation: Actively seek out sales opportunities beyond relying solely on the company's marketing efforts.

- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the roofing or construction industry.
- Strong self-motivation and accountability, with a team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to carry and climb ladders; must not be afraid of heights.
- Willingness to travel as required.
