We are actively seeking to hire an experienced Applications Engineer to provide systems engineering expertise to sales and customers utilizing technical knowledge from areas of specialization.
Application Engineer Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in the proper selection of products as they relate to systems as well as to discrete components.
- Assist customers in the application, installation, start up, calibration, troubleshooting, and problem solving of products and related systems.
- Travel, as required, to determine product potentials and customer needs and assist in the sale of products and systems.
- Maintain proper communication with all sales territories to ensure systems application assistance is provided as may be required in sales plans.
- Present products, systems, and problem solutions to customers at conferences as scheduled by sales personnel.
- Assist in promotion activities including product literature reviews and industry functions such as trade shows, technical conferences, and schools.
- Actively participate in interfacing and communicating with marketing personnel and project teams to provide market feedback for successful product specifications and development.
- Survey and define market needs.
- Assist in market research and competitive information collection, as required.
- Present technical papers at industry conferences, as required.
- Assist in creating sales tools including application notes.
- Lead other application specialists in daily activities.
Application Engineer Qualifications:
To be considered for the Application Engineer position, applicants should:
- BSEE or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Application Specialist - Systems, or ten years equivalent experience and working knowledge of generating power systems and analog and digital circuitry.
- Willingness to travel at least 50% of time in assigned sales territories
