We are looking for a full-time Construction Superintendent to oversee on-site day-to-day operations, ensuring each project phase is executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. You will play a pivotal role in our growth by leading teams, ensuring on-site construction excellence, and managing project budgets across multiple job sites in San Diego.

We specialize in multifamily apartment buildings and we are experiencing rapid growth, with an exciting portfolio of over a dozen projects in the pipeline in San Diego and plans for expansion into other markets. We pride ourselves on delivering top-quality, sustainable housing solutions and are poised to revolutionize the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise daily on-site activities, coordinating labor, materials and equipment to ensure efficient workflow
  • Supervise and direct all in-house laborers and carpenters
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and staff to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess work quality, ensuring compliance with project specifications and building codes
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices on the job site, conducting safety meetings and inspections as necessary
  • Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the construction process, adjusting strategies as needed to keep project on track
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, incident reports, change orders, and report findings in Procore
  • Plan and coordinate travel to various job sites as needed to oversee project execution and ensure consistency across multiple locations
  • Lead, train and motivate the construction team to foster a collaborative, productive, quality driven jobsite
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving strategies as needed
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
  • Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Construction Superintendent experience
  • Experience with Procore is a must
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Multifamily construction experience preferred


Physical & Cognitive Requirements:

  • Lifting, pulling, pushing 
  • Ability to individually lift and/or carry 50lbs
  • Ability to multitask, read, write, calculate data
  • Consistent on-site attendance
