Job Description:

A Cyber Mission Analyst To defend USAF infrastructure (AFIN) at the base level from cyber threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Threat Analysis: Identify, monitor, and analyze cyber threats.
  • Coordination: Coordinate cyberspace orders among missions and correlate cyber intelligence.
  • Mission Support: Provide threat notifications to AF mission/weapon systems.
  • Collaboration: Communicate with various teams (cyber, intelligence, engineering, logistics, maintenance) for persistent cyber defense.
  • Information Security:
  • Understand DoD mission assurance concepts and their relevance to USAF.
  • Investigate network activities to determine Mission Relevant Terrain Cyber (MRT-C) support.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate cyber risks.
  • Create and implement strategies to merge and display MRT-C.
  • Identify and analyze trends to define MRT-C requirements.
  • Assist with FMA-C, including defense plan development.
  • Establish databases and monitoring systems.
  • Utilize classified and unclassified networks for support and information distribution.
  • Review and recommend policies, procedures, and organization design.
  • Resolve events and incidents, and brief recommendations.
  • Define and perform vulnerability assessments.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and correlation across data sets.
  • Coordinate with enterprise-wide cyber defense staff.
  • Document and escalate incidents.
  • Perform cyber defense trend analysis and reporting.
  • Perform event correlation to gain situational awareness.
  • Analyze network alerts and determine possible causes.

Qualifications:

  • Clearance: Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information System Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline in cybersecurity or information technology.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+ Level II Certification, CCSP or Cloud+ or CySA+ or GICSP
  • Experience: Three years of experience in Analysis in Cyberspace, IT cybersecurity, IT security, and telecommunications principles.
