We are looking for a talented litigator with an eye for expanding their skillset by supporting our innovative and evolving transportation and logistics businesses.


This attorney will:

  1. Be an integral part of the business and technology teams they support, and will drive strategy for risk mitigation for our Last Mile transportation operations.
  2. Architect and implement Amazon’s litigation strategy with respect to certain portions of our commercial litigation portfolio.
  3. Dive deep into the most challenging cases in the last mile litigation portfolio, and support driving the right outcome.
  4. Think Big and look around corners to spot issues and identify developments of relevance for the Amazon business.
  5. Build processes that address risk and provide us with the flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
  6. Partner with business leaders on strategy and long-term success, earning trust and building relationships.

We are looking for candidates who are innovative, progressive, extremely hands-on, and highly customer-obsessed professionals. Developing innovative solutions to novel legal questions is part of our daily business.


Some travel, domestic and international, will be required.


Minimum Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of legal experience
  2. Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
  3. Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
  4. Experience litigating, managing, and coordinating auto or personal injury liability cases
  5. Experience working cross functionally with Risk Management personnel, third party administrators, and insurance companies
  6. Ability to lead teams, including cross-functional teams, while being a strong partner to other lawyers, business clients, paralegals, and assistants
  7. Curiosity and creativity
  8. Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
