Responsibilities
- Identify, recruit, and develop M&A due diligence team members.
- Develop, refine, and manage the due diligence process/procedures and associated client deliverables.
- Partner with M&A producers throughout the sales process.
- Establish and oversee the post-close broking/service team transition process.
- Lead the due diligence process for key private equity and corporate clients.
- Facilitate the due diligence data collection and organization process.
- Review documents and agreements to identify areas that require additional investigation and follow-up, as needed to further assess status.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate critical deal issues to internal and client deal teams.
- Define deal milestones and develop tracking data request lists.
- Work closely with various internal constituents to move M&A opportunities through the process (e.g. P&C, EB, Cyber, Transactional Liability, etc.).
- Deliver diligence work products to clients.
- Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline required; MBA preferred.
Ten (10) or more years of Business Development/Mergers & Acquisitions experience required.
Insurance industry and sales experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Good problem solving, negotiation and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills; ability to clearly define and frame complex issues.
Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task.
Advanced planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
