The Head of Sales will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, qualified leads move through underwriting and convert to bound policies. This is a high-impact, revenue-driving role that blends customer engagement, broker support, and operational execution to accelerate growth.

The Role:As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for driving policy conversions by removing roadblocks, accelerating underwriting decisions, and ensuring prospective customers take necessary actions to secure coverage. You will work closely with underwriting, applied science, and risk management to make sure every qualified lead has a clear, actionable path to binding a policy.
This role requires a high-energy operator who thrives on moving deals forward, engaging with brokers and customers, and ensuring smooth, fast underwriting decisions.
Core Responsibilities:Drive Policy Conversion & Revenue
Own the execution and conversion of qualified leads, ensuring prospects move efficiently through underwriting.
Work directly with brokers and homeowners to address risk concerns and unlock underwriting approvals.
Ensure fast turnaround times by tracking leads, escalating roadblocks, and coordinating cross-functional responses.
Provide hands-on support in helping customers meet underwriting requirements (e.g., securing mitigation vendors, providing documentation).
Identify and execute process improvements to shorten sales cycles and increase close rates.
Develop sales playbooks and collateral that clarify risk mitigation pathways for brokers and clients.
Operational Execution & Process Optimization
Track and report on lead conversion performance, ensuring high efficiency and identifying friction points.
Drive continuous improvement in sales operations, working with underwriting to refine workflows.
In partnership with risk management, build and maintain a network of mitigation vendors to help homeowners quickly take necessary actions.
Sales-Driven Execution:
5+ years of experience in sales, sales enablement, sales operations, and or customer success—ideally in a complex, high-touch sales environment.
Proven track record of driving revenue, improving conversion rates, and optimizing sales processes.
Strong ability to unblock deals, manage lead pipelines, and escalate underwriting decisions efficiently.
Bonus: Background in insurance, real estate, or financial services.
Operational & Process Leadership:
Highly organized and relentlessly focused on execution—keeping deals moving with speed and efficiency.
Skilled at tracking performance metrics and optimizing sales workflows to maximize conversion rates.
A cross-functional leader, able to drive collaboration between underwriting, brokers, and risk management.
Broker & Customer Relationship Management:
Strong ability to engage with brokers and homeowners, guiding them through underwriting requirements.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills—able to explain complex underwriting decisions in a clear, actionable way.
