Position Summary: Direct movement of materials and supplies for order completion and inventory control in assigned area.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to operate multiple pieces of material handling equipment such as swing reaches , Cherry pickers, forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Responsible for verifying and confirming counts of received goods and raw material from transfer trucks and containers, then put away on a timely manner.
  • Responsible for matching packing slips with purchase orders and receiving them into the computer.
  • Responsible for the completion of the daily equipment checklist’s (MHE,Rf etc) before operation.
  • The loading and unloading of trailers at the docks as assigned.
  • Properly tag/label received goods.
  • Pick orders that will be assigned to order pickers, palletize, and wrap accordingly then stage to a loading area as instructed.
  • Ensure correct placement of pallets for outbound loading.
  • Process daily assignments accurately and timely.
  • Ensure that all equipment is returned at the end of the shift to the designated area and placed on charge if needed.
  • Meet and maintain production and quality standards.
  • Sweep floors and maintain a tidy work area.
  • Help to Unload containers at times might be required.
  • Adhere to all company work rules.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and practices.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
  • Other duties as assigned such as unloading containers or working in other departments.

Education, Certifications and Licensures:

  • One to three years related experience.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Must be able to read and speak in English.
  • Good work ethic and planning skills.
  • Forklift Certification
  • Able to follow directions and communicate with others.
  • Must be able to perform basic math functions
