Our client is a leading manufacturing company that is looking to bring on board a hands on, safety oriented Training & Development lead for their facility in the Moses Lake, WA area.

In this exciting position, you will take a lead in technical training and organizing employee development. This is a great opportunity to be a key stakeholder in a growing company that invests in its employees.


What we are looking for you to do:

  • Oversee and ensure that all production lines have functional training plans with corresponding task instructions.
  • Lead, plan, develop, coordinate, direct, and audit employee onboarding.
  • Responsible for record keeping and the training auditing process. Provide auditing metrics to plant management and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the new hire onboarding process for operational employees and ensure all steps of the process are completed. Create and manage effective feedback.
  • Partner with plant leadership to develop and coordinate plant training processes to ensure employees are trained prior to performing a new position and/or tasks.
  • Manage the site training team to effectively and efficiently train processes to ensure operational employees are able to successfully perform and continuously improve.
  • Manage direct reports by having clear direction, achievable expectations, and measurable performance goals
  • Act as a resource to coordinate and lead Continuous Improvement efforts in the plant. This will include training and coaching on the application of Lean principles and tools such as 5S, root-cause problem solving, visual controls, pull systems, kaizen events, etc. Monitor the results.
  • Reinforce a safety-first culture.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of training and development management experience required.
  • 3+ years experience training a manufacturing environment. Food, beverage or CPG manufacturing ideal.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
