Claxton Logistics Services, LLC is seeking a skilled General Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of maintenance for various mechanical systems, including overhead doors, HVAC, air compressors, and electrical controls. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. This is a SCA position starting at $22.64 per hour and includes and additional $4.57 to be applied to health and welfare benefits. 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, pumps, blowers, and motors.
  • Maintain and repair electrical controls, lighting, and other facility equipment.
  • Execute work orders for building and grounds maintenance, including lawn care.
  • Adjust equipment settings and report serious issues in our computerized maintenance system.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to daily work orders.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized maintenance needs.
  • Adhere to company Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with operational tasks as needed and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of mechanical operations, maintenance, and equipment repair.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, including light-duty power systems (240V, single and three-phase).
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, pneumatic tools, air compressors, and other maintenance-related equipment.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations, particularly OSHA standards.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Additional trade-specific coursework is preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the maintenance field.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Valid state driver’s license required.
  • Successful completion of drug screening and background checks.
  • Completion of OSHA 30 General Industry training within 30 days of employment.
