Job Summary:

As an Automotive Service Advisor at McDonough Hyundai, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a positive experience with our dealership and their vehicle service needs. You will be responsible for managing customer interactions, handling service inquiries, and providing expert advice and recommendations to help customers make informed decisions about their vehicle maintenance and repairs. This is a full-time position with a base salary and commission opportunities in the auto industry.

Compensation & Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $110,000 per year, based on experience and performance. In addition to the base salary, there is also a commission program in place to reward high-performing individuals. The pay is biweekly. Other benefits include health insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and listen to their service needs
- Schedule service appointments and manage service advisor appointments
- Act as a liaison between service technicians and customers
- Provide accurate and detailed cost estimates for service and repairs
- Educate customers on their vehicle maintenance and repair options
- Upsell additional services and products when appropriate
- Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicle and any changes to the service timeline
- Handle customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organized service desk area
- Utilize dealership software and tools to manage customer interactions and transactions

Requirements:

- At least 2 years of experience in the automotive industry as a service advisor or a similar role
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes
- Basic understanding of automotive technology and terminology
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
- High school diploma or equivalent, further education or certifications in the automotive field are a plus
