As the Maintenance Manager, you'll provide strategic direction to the Maintenance Department, overseeing a team of direct and indirect employees and contractors. Your responsibilities will span safety leadership, continuous improvement initiatives, budget management, and personnel development. From setting safety expectations to driving cost-effective maintenance strategies, your leadership will be instrumental in optimizing performance and fostering a positive work culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safety leadership and manage maintenance safety performance, including safety training, audits, and compliance.
  • Develop world-class maintenance work processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost management.
  • Establish maintenance cost control systems and manage a multi-million-dollar yearly budget.
  • Develop training plans and succession strategies for the maintenance organization.
  • Lead and mentor maintenance teams, ensuring accountability, growth, and performance excellence.
  • Participate in site leadership meetings, driving safety, operational, and cost excellence.
  • Take a leadership role in corporate programs such as the Integrated Management System (AIMS) and the SMART Operational Excellence Program.
  • Foster a positive and proactive teamwork culture, promoting communication and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in petrochemical manufacturing, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferably Mechanical or Chemical Engineering).
  • Greenbelt certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in SAP PM and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot chemical processes.
  • Budget management experience is advantageous.
