Primary Function:

The Senior Staff Accountant will help to establish and maintain financial transactions while supporting financial accounting areas, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and production transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process/assist in accurate record-keeping relating to full cycle of accounting.
  • Maintain regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information related to invoicing for finished manufactured products.
  • Oversees Accounts Receivable billing, collections, cash receipts.
  • Assist in Cash Forecasting.
  • Participate in the process of improvement of accounting procedures and controls.
  • Inventory oversight/controls, reconciliation, and costing.
  • Assist Human Resources in weekly payroll processes while maintaining a high level of confidential information.
  • Journal Entries and completion of account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain regular reports via the companys accounting system to assist in data mining, reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Primary internal contact for SAP Business One ERP system and our outside support consultants.
  • Maintains an inquisitive approach by exploring financial data and identifying patterns.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop guidance and insights for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Partners with Production to provide insightful analysis in production transactions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient functioning of the accounting department.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of SAP Business One.
