Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Daily work will involve confined space entry such as manholes, tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping and shoveling, high pressure washing, etc.
  • Perform work under the direct guidance of a supervisor involving the cleanup of hazardous waste and material.
  • Assist in the loading/unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Load and unload various size containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers. etc.)
  • Ability to work a rotating shift, long hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Performs other job- related duties as assigned.
Experience
  • Prior work experience of at least 1 year in the hazardous waste or chemical industry.
  • Able to use hand tools and power tools
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate is a plus
  • Must have a valid driver license and good driving history.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to travel out of state when needed.
  • Must have TWIC card
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
Pay rate: $18/hr.
Location: On the field
