GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Integration Advisor is responsible for leading the integration efforts of acquired organizations. In this role, the Senior Integration Advisor will work with the Integration team to execute our acquisition strategies and objectives, deliver great internal and external client support throughout the integration process, and drive functional excellence and process improvement. Seamless integration will be a key competitive advantage for MAI Capital Management.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan- Build integrations plan templates to create repeatable processes:
    • Engage in transactions prior to closing to build knowledge of organization; assist in developing operational plans post-close; build relationships with leadership and staff of the target firm.
    • Tailor integration plans based on specifics of individual acquisitions.
    • Lead and perform operational and client due diligence.
  • Execute- Lead execution of all aspects of integration plans according to established targets:
    • Assist in executing business initiatives during integration/transition period to ensure achievement of financial goals and leading indicators.
    • Serve as visible leader and representative of MAI to acquired firm; demonstrate culture and values of firm, and welcome new colleagues.
    • Serve as day-to-day relationship manager with key leaders of acquired firm from closing of firm to completion of integration.
    • Work with cross-functional teams including MIS/Technology, Finance, HR, Operations, and Marketing to execute the integration plan with no surprises.
  • Measure - Focus on overall measures that achieve the objectives of each integration:
    • Measure the achievement of specific financial measures and leading indicators throughout the integration/transition period.
    • Define and monitor performance metrics to ensure that successful integration takes place in a timely manner, using measurement tools and monitoring systems.
    • Track success integration success against targets and recommend integration plan or project plan changes as needed.
  • Partner - Develop and maintain excellent relationships to achieve acquisition strategy and goals:
    • Collaborate with acquisition partners to assist in transaction and develop knowledge necessary to create integration plan.
    • Effectively communicate with and influence key operational stakeholders while aligning the team around goals.
    • Work with cross-functional teams including MIS/Technology, Finance, HR, Operations, and Marketing to execute the integration plan with no surprises.
    • Partner with management and staff of acquired firm to execute integration plan, manage their expectations, and achieve financial targets during integration/transition phase.


EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-7 yrs. experience in an RIA/Investment Management Firm or other type of Financial Services.
  • Experience in mergers & acquisitions (M&A), Post-Merger Integration, and/or enterprise-wide transformational projects.
  • Experience in operational integration of M&As.
  • Experience in designing and implementing integration process, mechanics, and protocols across a wide range of functions.
  • Skilled in understanding and interpreting deal valuations.
