The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods, equipment, and personnel, optimizing logistics, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This position is contingent upon contract award.


Daily activities may include: 

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all transportation activities, including the movement of goods, materials, and personnel, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Ensure all transportation operations adhere to safety protocols, conducting regular training sessions for staff and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Address and resolve any transportation-related issues, including delays, equipment failures, and customer complaints, promptly and effectively.
  • Supervise and lead a team of transportation staff, including drivers, dispatchers, and logistics coordinators, ensuring high levels of productivity, safety, and compliance.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in transportation management, logistics, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading successful transportation operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in transportation management software (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth understanding of transportation regulations, logistics, and supply chain management principles.
  • Familiarity with fleet management, route planning, and vendor management.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance, including DOT regulations.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
