The Project Engineer will be responsible for safety compliance, subcontractor document
management, constructability reviews, conceptual estimating, consultation, bid pricing review
of RFI’s, ASC’s, CCD’s, etc, program management, change management and interface with
teams on technology low voltage scopes of work including internal and external employees,
vendors, and subcontractors. This position is expected to be a subject matter expert, who,
through the demonstration of strong leadership, communication and management skills
effectively helps manage scope definitions and integrations for technology scopes on selected
projects.

Supports all aspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness by

Coordinate with team on technology related design and construction efforts that meet
the constructability, quality, financial and technical standards.
Intake and Triage of RFI's, ASC's, CCD's, etc
Document Control, Driving Submittals and Shop Drawing Log
Trade to Trade Coordination through the Shop Drawing and Submittal Process
Provide technical expertise related to design assist, installation, and network integration
of complete and related systems, including assistance in Scope Leveling with PM / PX.
Submittal and Shop Drawing Review with responsible PM in advance of submission to
AE Team by Admin.
Review quantity takeoffs and obtains vendor trade partner pricing to compile
complete accurate budgets or hard bid proposals to make sure all costs are within
contract scope requirements with PM’s.
Review and Participation of outgoing RFP's to subcontractors and supplier in the Pre-
Con Process
Support of Mock-Up rooms/spaces Lead, coach and motivate team members in a proactive manner, consistent with the company’s
FIT policy.
Support the team for project delivery to achieve project financial, quality and
performance objectives.
Participate in companywide communication programs and strategy sessions to enhance
the company’s ability to effectively market, sell and deliver technology related services.
Assist in developing the schedule for all the different scopes for submittals, shop
drawings, BIM dates, addition of scope, and mockups / training with the PM team.
Track and report progress on the achievement of project milestone(s) with team
members for updates to schedule and progress payments
Communicate, track and resolve issues in an effective and prompt manner throughout
the life of the project.
Ensure that all project documents are properly managed and archived upon project
completion.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition, this position will be responsible for the following:
Assistance in management of the technology consulting process between our our company and
client/owner’s consultants and contractors.
Identify and develop new technologies that support the Smart Building offering of
the organization. Work closely with the Sales Team to understand new technologies and ideas in
the market and how we can apply them to our current customers.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;
reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking
state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Engage local civic organizations and municipality activities to establish local involvement
with the projects as well as Union relations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner

Demonstrate the ability to effectively develop project proposals, fees and work plans

Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability and generate future work through
building relationships
Ability to build relationships with team members that transcend a project General knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure and networking, including but
not limited to fiber, copper, LAN/WAN, wireless, and telephony.
Additional knowledge of Low Voltage hospital equipment is a plus – nursecall, overhead
paging, access control, CCTV, and PS DAS systems.
Certifications such as RCDD, CCNA, CCNP, Crestron systems, or CTS a plus.
