Responsibilities:

  • Lead team in preparation of project drawings calculations and specifications
  • Prepare analysis design calculations reports site visits and permit applications
  • Provide construction assistance
  • Evaluate land use/zoning requirements
  • Assist with preparation of proposals and estimates for potential projects
  • Mentor/train junior staff


Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
  • Master s degree in Civil Engineering preferred
  • 5 years of engineering experience
  • PE License
  • Experience with unique design/permitting requirements working within the City of Detroit or a similar urban context
  • Technical experience in mixeduse urban infill sustainable design and stormwater best management practice
  • Knowledge of the City of Detroit and surrounding area preferred
  • Proficient in Civil 3D SWMM and Excel


Salary is commensurate with experience.
