Background

AGRM is a multi-faceted claims consulting firm which, amongst other things, provides full-service Third-Party Claims Adjusting to external insurance clients. The IT Department is currently looking to expand support of the AGRM infrastructure in different locations. This new position will develop an IT Support presence in our Quincy, MA office and work within an IT Team located in multiple locations within the US. The position will provide strong technical support, overseeing server room operations and provide user support with everyday issues. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an infrastructure environment and the ability to communicate effectively with end users for system assistance.

Key Objectives:

We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining IT support equipment. This includes desktop, laptop and networking components. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively to solve problems and document solutions with excellent oral and written skills. Ideal candidate will have prior experience in handling multiple tasks and documenting processes to meet certification standards.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Support the infrastructure of AG Risk Management.
  • Support the Helpdesk and end users to troubleshoot system issues and user understanding.
  • Work with IT team and Business partners on projects.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external parties to identify issues and resolutions that may affect connections and system availability.
  • Provide clear, concise, and accurate management information on a regular and ad hoc basis as required.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Microsoft Office 365 administration (including Exchange Administration)
  • Microsoft Windows
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Microsoft Terminal services 2016-2019 Administration
  • Active Directory Administration
  • Network cabling and patch panels.
  • VMware 6x - 7x Administration (especially with ESXi Appliances)
  • Nutanix AVH
  • POE switches, Fibre Switches, Network Attached Storage, and Dell EqualLogic San management.
  • Veeam Backup and Replication 10 - 12x
  • Linux Experience would be a plus
  • Apple Mac experience would be a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of IT Infrastructure experience.
  • College degree or Technical IT certification
  • Certification in Microsoft office 365 and Windows
  • Experience in setting up network cabling and patch panels.
  • Experience with Networking Concepts (Subnets, Vlans, Layer 2 and Layer 3)
  • Understanding of PowerShell Scripting, Batch scripting and administration automation tools
  • Experience in setting up Firewalls (FortiGate preferred)
  • Experience in setting up Network equipment – UPS, switches and routers.
  • Certification in VMWare, Nutanix AVH, Networking, and Security would be plus.
  • Willing to take additional training.

Special Requirements:

  • Candidate must be flexible as to support the operations of the company.
  • Some night and weekends may be required for system maintenance outside of normal business hours.
  • Will need to be in-office for the first three months Monday to Friday in Quincy, MA 02169, with the possibility to switch to 3 days in office 2 days remote after initial training is completed.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Should be able to lift 25 pounds.
