Maintenance Technician
1st Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Pay Range:$26-30/hour
Job Description:
- Maintain structures, electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulic repair.
- Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as fixtures, apparatus, motors, lift trucks, pneumatic tools, hoists, cranes, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers specifications.
- Observe and troubleshoot mechanical devices in operation to source causes of trouble.
- Dismantle devices to gain access ato and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using precision measuring equipment.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs and straight edges.
- Repairs, replaces, or reworks defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices using hand tools.
- Starts devices to test performance.
- Performs preventative maintenance according to time schedule.
Job Requirements:
- Possess or capable of acquiring a forklift license.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Potential after hours call in to repair key equipment.
- Set up and operate drill press, hand grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Repair electrical equipment & programs/troubleshoots PLC’s
- Work with operators to improve uptime and cycle time of equipment.
- Works with production associates to help set-up as needed.
