POSITION SUMMARY:


The Additive Technician performs routine tasks for the operation of metal 3D printers. Work with a cross functional team of engineering, sales and customer support developing and executing a business plan to achieve growth in the 3D printing market.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Operate and Maintain AM Equipment
  • Breakout machines and turnover for new jobs
  • Cleanup parts for shipments
  • Housekeeping and tidiness of the Additive Area
  • Occasional work in machining / opportunity to learn machining
  • Read and understand blueprints and drawings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree in adjacent field, or equivalent manufacturing experience
  • Machining Experience preferred
  • Passionate about rapid prototyping and 3D Printing
  • Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple parallel-path projects.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Independent and demonstrated an ability to deliver successful designs under tight timing constraints
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficient GD&T knowledge and the ability to think 3-Dimensionally
  • Experience with SolidWorks, MasterCAM, 3DXpert, or Magics

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.
  • For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sit or stand as needed
  • Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday
  • Proper lifting techniques required
  • Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol
  • Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
