Schedule:
Standard operating hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday-Friday. Specific work hours will be established through discussions with your supervisor.
Hourly Wage:
$17.00 /hr. to start - $18.00 /hr. after 90 Days

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, is responsible for maintaining the grounds, facility(ies), and equipment safely and efficiently, following established procedures, to ensure that a successful, viable maintenance program is maintained at all times.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receives and follows maintenance schedule/instructions from the Director of Facilities as outlined in established maintenance policies and procedures.
- Performs routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveway, etc. by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc., as necessary/directed.
- Performs routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment, including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, following established procedures.
- Follows all established safety procedures and precautions when performing maintenance service.
- Maintains general plant and facilities in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
- Cleans windows, screens, awning, and outside as directed.
- Replaces burned-out light bulbs, including exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform housekeeping duties in high places.
- Reports all incidents/accidents, no matter how minor, to the Director of Facilities/External Facilities immediately.
- Services heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Performs unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
- Reports equipment malfunction or breakdowns to the Director of Facilities as soon as possible.
- Reports all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., immediately to the Director of Facilities
- Ensures maintenance supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.
- Ensures that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective areas.
- Understand the company’s Infection Control policies and procedures.
- Collect and dispose of refuse in designated areas weighing 20-30 pounds.
- Prioritize work assignments to complete tasks promptly.
- Ability to always interact with program Participants professionally and courteous manner.
- Participate in on-going Quality Initiative training as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to deal tactfully and patiently with personnel, participants, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
- Communicates with the medical staff, nursing personnel, and other department supervisors.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Ability to organize work and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid Certification. (Training Provided FREE)
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General maintenance experience.
- One year of experience working with the frail and elderly population or willing to participate in extensive training as needed.
Requirements:
- Requires valid State driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening
Physical Requirements:
- Works in well-lighted/ventilated office and therapy areas.
- Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly.
- Must be able to assist with the evacuation of Participants.
