BASIC FUNCTION
Assists Director of Corporate Communications in the administration of a variety of communications and public relations objectives. Supports the Director with all internal and external corporate communications and public relations initiatives for the bank. This includes coordinating a variety of tasks to help execute plans that advance company strategy, support Executive Management and key business objectives, build/protect company reputation and more.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists Corporate Communications Director with all functions of the department.
- Contribute to a variety of Corporate Communications and PR plans, campaigns and initiatives that support business initiatives, enhance the Bank’s reputation and brand, etc.
- Assist director in developing new content for social media platforms
- Manage the media coverage process for the company
- Assist with writing and creating newsletters for both employees and customers
- Work with Executives, and department heads, to produce customer email communications
- Coordinate a variety of internal and external ongoing events
- Performs other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in communications or other related field required.
Experience:
Previous experience in communications, pr or marketing preferred.
Previous experience in a banking environment a plus, but not required.
Excellent multitasker
Excellent storyteller with strong business storytelling strategies
Excellent writer, proofreader and editor
Effective communication skills
Keen eye for design and ability to present information in an aesthetically pleasing way
Ability to work effectively with Senior Management and all areas of the bank on various projects
Proficient in MS Office with design software skills a plus but not required
