Job Summary
The Security Officer provides leadership, direction, and support for Security Services, aiming to achieve quality outcomes and uphold best practices. This role focuses on ensuring a high degree of safety and satisfaction for patients, physicians, and employees at St. Peters. The Security Officer serves as an expert on security matters, including enforcement actions in compliance with Montana state laws and constitutional rights. Responsibilities include maintaining high awareness and a proactive approach to security issues, ensuring a secure environment, and staying updated on licensing and procedural changes according to St. Peters' policies and state and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Program: Oversee the security program, providing advice, counsel, feedback, and fostering collegiality among staff, physicians, and colleagues.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure security services align with the organization's Environment of Care (EOC) plan and regulatory standards.
- Process Implementation: Design and implement processes to maintain appropriate security levels.
- Develop Goals and Objectives: Participate in creating security goals and objectives in line with EOC standards.
- Customer and Patient Satisfaction: Assess satisfaction levels in areas of responsibility and set high standards to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Professional Appearance: Maintain uniform standards of professional appearance and fitness as required by the security director.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience: Experienced professional with knowledge of healthcare security processes, preferably with healthcare-specific experience. Law enforcement experience is preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED.
License/Certification:Must have a State of Montana security license at the time of appointment or an agreed-upon exception for processing delays.
This position demands a proactive and knowledgeable individual dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment while adhering to regulatory standards and promoting a culture of safety and satisfaction.
