Primary Purpose

Provide accurate and timely financial information to company management while providing proper fiduciary control over the company's financial resources.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Learning and participating in all of the accounting functions of the department (Billing, AR Cash Application, Accounts Payable, and Payroll)
  • Learn and participate in the monthly financial statement close process.
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing locational financial statements.
  • Responsible for learning and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Participate and become involved with Business Analysis Team special projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for learning and participating in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Responsible for understanding SFASs and how they lead to proper financial statements prepared according to GAAP.
  • Participate in year end audit preparation and facilitate auditor requests for information.
  • Help team with solving day to day questions, problems and issues that present themselves.
  • Continuously challenge self to improve professionally and develop skills necessary to perform your role on the team. This includes pursuing the designation of CPA.
  • Works with Chief Accounting Officer on special financial projects.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.

Experience: 0-5 years' experience preferred. Recent and upcoming college graduates encouraged to apply.

Knowledge and Abilities: Must display strong desire to learn about our accounting process, great problem solving skills, along with excellent communication skills. Must be able to achieve results while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
